Our landscape design office at the service of your projects

When it comes to landscaping, the landscape design office (or BET paysagiste for short) plays an essential role. Whether you're an individual or an architect looking for expertise to respond to a call for tenders, we're here to design functional and aesthetic outdoor spaces.

Summary

1. What is our landscape design office?

Landscape Consulting is a multidisciplinary team of engineers and landscape designers trained at leading landscape schools (ENSP, ESAJ, etc.). This Landscape Project Management team is responsible for the design, planning and monitoring of outdoor development projects. We are involved in a wide range of projects, including :

  • Landscaping of private gardens (100 to 5000 m²)

  • Urban projects / Competitions / Tenders (green spaces, parks, etc.)

  • Environmental rehabilitation projects (protected areas, seashores)

  • Development of residential or business complexes

Of course we draw a lot of plans! By hand, on Autocad, in 3d modeling, now in BIM with Revit, but it's not just about ideas and concepts, our landscape design office has to take into account environmental, aesthetic, economic and technical elements to propose tailor-made solutions. Working in France, Africa and the Middle East, we adapt our work to the site and the needs of architects on a daily basis. Every project in our design office is different, which makes it an exciting profession.

A design office also needs to be reactive, and we can send you our tender documents for all your tenders and competitions within 24/48 hours,

2. Why call on our landscape design office?

Calling on our BET Paysagiste means :

  1. Ideas and technology: Our engineers design aesthetic spaces with no technical limitations.

  2. Ecological: Our landscape designers integrate eco-responsible practices (water management, native plants, etc.) to create spaces that respect the environment.

  3. Keeping up with regulations: Knowledge of the latest urban planning and environmental standards. (DTU specific to landscapes and construction techniques, taking into account the PGES (Environmental and Social Management Plan), etc.).

  4. Follow-up from A to Z: From the first hand-drawn ideas to delivery, our design office coordinates the various phases of the project.

3. The different stages

Feasibility study

The first step in a landscaping project is the feasibility study. It allows you to define the challenges and constraints of the project, such as:

  • The topography of the land

  • The climate

  • The soil

  • The first budgetary and technical constraints

An analysis report with different layout possibilities is generally produced at this stage to guide design choices.

Design and planning

During the design phase, the design office or landscape project manager draws up detailed plans based on the client's needs or the call for tender (AVP, APS, APD, PRO, DCE)

  • 2D and 3D plans: Clear visualization of spaces

  • Modeling of spaces: Allows you to anticipate volumes and proportions

  • Choice of materials and plants: Selection of plant species and development elements based on ecological and aesthetic objectives

For several years, our landscape design office has been in demand and has specialized in DESIGN-CONSTRUCTION projects (or generally called DESIGN-BUILT). These are projects where, in collaboration with the architects, we simply carry out the conceptual part and the important technical elements to carry them out. By making the APS and a functional program, the construction company relies on our documents to complete the design phase. This organization, which comes from Anglo-Saxon countries, makes it possible to limit the study costs for the Project Owner and is not necessarily without consequences for the future. We therefore integrate as much technical information as possible to ensure compliance with the initial concept and its conformity.

Construction site monitoring

With weekly on-site meetings in the presence of the landscape project manager, architects, companies, Project Owner or Project Owner's Representative (AMO), we supervise the execution of the work to ensure that everything is in accordance with the initial plan and meets deadlines.

  1. Who can call on a landscape design office?

Individuals

Individuals can request a landscape design office to create a custom garden or redevelop existing outdoor spaces. They will benefit from a unique design adapted to their needs. For small areas or small terraces, we recommend calling on a Landscape Craftsman who also carries out the work, they generally have very good ideas and the need for a design office is not necessarily necessary.

Architects and urban planners

Many architects and urban planners call on our services for small or large-scale projects, such as urban developments or parks. Collaboration allows for better integration of the natural environment into urban planning. Landscaper skills are now often requested or even mandatory during competitions or calls for tender.

Communities and businesses

Representing a significant part of our activity, local authorities and companies also use these skills to design public spaces such as parks, esplanades, city and town centres, redevelopment of squares or even to make a head office attractive to customers and employees like our project for the headquarters of GOOGLE or DIOR.

  1. How to choose the right landscape design office?

In reality, the choice of a design office or a landscape project management depends on several criteria, it is difficult to have a precise answer.

  1. Expertise: Check the references of the design office, its previous projects and its specialization (private, public projects, large spaces, etc.). We are often more specialized in a field or a geographical sector.

  2. Sustainability of the developments: Make sure that the office favors eco-responsible practices, an important point in current landscaping.

  3. Locations: Favoring an office that knows the region well can be an asset, particularly for knowledge of the local climate and soils. For example, LANDSCAPE CONSULTING has specialized for years on projects in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, so we know these environments perfectly.

  4. Responsiveness and follow-up: Choose an office that offers rigorous project monitoring, with significant know-how during the DET phase (Management of the Execution of Works).
